About us

Veringagardet (The Varangian Guard) reenactment group was founded in 2014 and is based in Klagstorp in Trelleborg Sweden. We are a relatively new viking group. With that said, our trainers in fighting have about 20 years of experience each in the art of viking reenactment fighting.  In the summertime we go to viking markets to showcase our knowledge and skills, as well as to educate the public about the history and culture of the Viking Age.  

We consist of various craftsmen that is proficient in sewing, leatherwork and cooking. A large number of the members are also proficient in the use of Viking age weapons and are skilled fighters. We practice both competition and exhibition fighting and have been showing our skills in tv-shows, movies and documentaries and you can hire us for the likes. We also do shows for grade schools and other institutions.  

In our group we value comradeship, friendship and team work more then anything else. Anyone and everybody should feel welcome and appreciated.
