Viking Age Reenactment
Reenactment
Viking Age reenactment is when individuals or groups recreate and portray the daily life, culture, and activities of the Vikings, who were a seafaring people from Scandinavia during the Viking Age, roughly spanning from the late 8th century to the early 11th century. Reenactors, also known as living historians, dress in historically accurate clothing, use tools and implements based on archaeological findings, and participate in events and displays that aim to provide an immersive experience of Viking-era life.
Viking Age reenactment encompasses various aspects of Viking culture, including clothing, weaponry, crafts, food, and social practices. We often gather at historical fairs, festivals, museums, and other events to showcase our knowledge and skills, as well as to educate the public about the history and culture of the Viking Age. It's important to note that while Viking Age reenactment aims to be historically accurate, some modern interpretations and adaptations may be made due to the limitations of available historical information and safety considerations.
Overall, Viking Age reenactment is a way for enthusiasts to engage with history, gain a deeper understanding of the past, and share their passion with others who are interested in this fascinating period of history.

Historically viking inspired fighting
Historically viking inspired competitive fighting refers to combat sports and competitions that draw inspiration from techniques, tactics, and styles used in historical battles or the traditional fighting systems of the vikings. These competitions often aim to recreate the spirit and techniques of warriors from the viking time period and culture. While safety is a top priority, participants often engage in these activities to gain a deeper understanding of history and to test their skills against opponents in a controlled environment. This is a full body contact sport with blunt steel weapons like axes, spears and swords.
